The simplest - and possibly the best - way to cook wild mushrooms is by frying in butter or good-quality oil, on low heat until crisp. But firstly, reconstitute in either cold or boiling hot water; if in cold water, keep in fridge for 8-plus hours; if in scalding hot water, mushrooms will reconstitute quicker.

Dry wild mushrooms have stronger flavour than when fresh, so that way are better.

When you eat wild mushrooms, the best way to savour, to experience the full taste is to hold them on your tongue awhile - don't wolf them down in a hurry.
